Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov paid a working visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan and met with the deputy heads and specialists of the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea region in the city of Nukus. The meeting discussed the strategic and current plans of the Center.
Abdurakhmonov launched the construction of administrative and production buildings at the Muynak test site of the Aral Sea International Innovation Center. Today, more than 20 hectares of land allocated for the Muynak experimental site in the village of Tikuzak, Muynak region, have been developed and created for the creation of a gene pool of desert plants.
More than 4,000 crops have been planted on the Muynak site, such as sumac, jasmine, kairagach and Chinese willow, willow, listrum, Canadian poplar and blue poplar. Also, work began on the improvement of the adjacent territories. Now the task is to create favorable conditions for working citizens here, conducting scientific activities by researchers who come here to conduct scientific research.
Construction work will also be carried out at the Samanbai test site in Nukus district. It is planned to build a laboratory building, a dormitory and a soil science museum. In turn, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov noted the creation of business accelerators and coworking zones, which will provide interesting opportunities not only for researchers and tourists, but also for entrepreneurs of our country.
Experts from the Aral Sea International Innovation Center, who were sent to the headquarters of the International Center for Agricultural Biodiversity (ICBA) in Dubai for a scientific internship, decided to create a museum similar to the Museum of Soil Science in the UAE. Samples of over 150 soil types found in the region will be housed in the museum.
At the end of the day, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov gave advice and recommendations on the introduction of innovative methods of creating nurseries of ornamental and other plants, and also held a conversation with young specialists and scientists working at the Aral Sea International Innovation Center. During the conversation, he wished the scientists good luck on their way to Tottori University (Japan) for a scientific internship.
