Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 September, a delegation led by the Minister of Innovative Development Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov visited Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

The delegation met with the Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office, Abdullah Nasser Lootah. There was a discussion of the work carried out within the framework of the UAE strategy. In particular, work on the development of state structures was also discussed at the meeting. At the same time, the minister gave information on the ongoing work on innovation in Uzbekistan.

It was also noted that the Strategy for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 was adopted, the ministry is working in this direction and proposals for cooperation were made. During the meeting, an agreement was also reached on cooperation in the development of artificial intelligence. At the same time, representatives of the center were invited to the INNOWEEK-2022 Week of Innovative Ideas, within the framework of which it is planned to sign a bilateral agreement.

In the second part of the meeting, negotiations were held with Deputy Minister of the UAE Cabinet for Strategic Affairs Khuda Al-Hashimi. It is worth noting that Khuda Al-Hashimi leads the directions of strategy and innovation and heads the activities of the State Innovation Center of Mohammed bin Rashid. Huda Al-Hashimi led the launch of the world’s first government accelerator aimed at the rapid and efficient implementation of government programs.

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the importance of innovative development in the development of public administration and the economy. Khuda Al-Hashimi highly appreciated the great importance that the Head of our state attaches to the field of innovation in Uzbekistan and positive changes in this area. In particular, she called the introduction of the positions of deputy chief for innovations in industry enterprises "Chief Innovation Officer" and vice-rectors for innovations in higher educational institutions a right step.

During the meeting, the parties agreed on cooperation in the implementation of the strategy for innovative development of Uzbekistan and the formation of a new strategy for the next stage.
