Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan intends to prosecute a 52-year-old man for insulting the president. This was reported by the Jizzakh regional prosecutor’s office.

According to the department, a criminal case was initiated against a resident of Bakhmal district, born in 1969, under part 3 of article 158 of the Criminal Code.

The prosecutor’s office notes that he created profiles on Facebook and YouTube and through them misinterpreted the reforms carried out by the president, insulted the head of state and disseminated slanderous information.
