Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution “On measures to organize the activities of the Agency for the work of Mahallabay and the development of entrepreneurship under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction” was adopted.

In accordance with the Resolution, the post of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction - Director of the Agency for the Work of Mahallabay and the Development of Entrepreneurship was introduced.

The main tasks of the Agency are defined:

pursuing a unified state policy for the economic development of entrepreneurship and makhallas in the republic;

provision of employment of the population with profitable labor on the basis of the vertical system of work of Mahallabay, attracting them to entrepreneurship, training and orientation towards self-employment;

coordination of the activities of authorized state bodies and organizations and assistants of the khokim of the district (city) on the development of entrepreneurship, ensuring employment of the population and reducing poverty in makhallas.

According to the Resolution, the State Entrepreneurship Support Fund was transferred to the structure of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.

Within the structure of the Agency, a Fund was created to involve the population in entrepreneurial activity, which does not have the status of a legal entity.
