The main directions of development of the medical sphere are determined

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By order of the President, a "Roadmap" was approved for the implementation of the tasks identified during the "open dialogue" of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of the healthcare sector.

The roadmap, consisting of seven directions, plans the following:

launch of 136 new polyclinics in 2022 and another 140 in 2023;

creation of family doctor points on the basis of local branches of polyclinics from 2023;

extension of daytime inpatient hours at family doctor’s offices, family polyclinics and multidisciplinary central polyclinics until 20:00. Establishment of an additional allowance for the wages of doctors and nurses working in them.

From 1 May 2022:

organize children’s departments in all district (city) multidisciplinary central polyclinics;

provide an additional 8,500 nurses and midwives to medical teams in 2022-2023;

to introduce a system of targeted examination of children under 18 by the most necessary specialists, such as a pediatrician, dentist, endocrinologist, orthopedist.

Allow experienced doctors to conduct individual family medical activities;

Provide children aged 3 to 15 years with free iodine preparations from July 1, 2022;

Organize the work of the resuscitation department for infants in the newly created 46 inter-district perinatal centers.

From 1 June 2022:

increase the salaries of healthcare workers by an additional 15 percent, depending on the qualification category;

introduce an additional allowance of 25 percent for doctors performing high-tech complex operations.

From 1 May 2022:

conduct primary and periodic professional medical examinations free of charge for all medical workers;

free of charge to vaccinate against hepatitis "B" medical workers directly working with blood.

From 2022/2023 academic year:

purposefully increase admission quotas to medical universities on the basis of state grants, based on the real need for doctors in the regions;

to increase state grants for magistracy by 4 times in 15 narrow specialties, such as phthisiology, hematology, nephrology, pulmonology, psychiatry, emergency medical care, laboratory work, infectious diseases .

To establish an additional monthly allowance in the amount of 2 million soums to the salaries of doctors of family medical centers and family clinics in hard-to-reach and remote regions.

Reimburse doctors working under the Rural Doctor program up to 50 percent of the cost of purchasing housing on a mortgage basis at the expense of local budgets.

Accept without testing in clinical internship doctors who have worked continuously for 3 years in hard-to-reach and remote regions.

Establish a badge “Khalq salomatligi posboni” for health workers and members of the public who promote a healthy lifestyle in their area and set a personal positive example.
