Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In accordance with the Concept for the development of the tourism sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2019-2025, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 5 January 2019, one of the areas of the Concept is the development of transport logistics, expansion of external and domestic routes, improving the quality of transport services.
In the quality implementation of the Concept and the creation of favorable conditions for tourists, as well as the diversification of the country's hotels, paragraph 15 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan eliminated the requirement to obtain an additional license for urban and suburban transportation of passengers from business entities that provide the population and foreign citizens with buses or minibuses transport services within the country on irregular routes licensed for intercity passenger transportation.
In this regard, the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 22 October 2019 amended the Regulation on licensing activities for the implementation of urban, suburban, intercity and international transport of passengers and goods by road.
According to the resolution, a license is not required for the provision of transport services for its guests to transfer from the airport, railway / bus station to the hotel and vice versa, as well as tourist facilities. It should be noted that in order to further simplify the licensing process for the implementation of urban, suburban, intercity and international transportation of passengers and goods by road, business entities no longer need to obtain separately a license for intercity passenger transportation.
When carrying out urban and suburban passenger transportation, business entities that provide the population and foreign citizens with buses or minibuses transport services within the country on irregular routes licensed for intercity passenger transportation, an additional license is not required.
