Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis adopted draft laws on the ratification of two treaties between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
In particular, the deputies approved the draft law "On the ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on certain sections of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border."
The draft law “On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the joint management of water resources of the Andijan (Kempyachrabad) reservoir” was also approved.
It was noted that the adoption of these documents will serve the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, finding a comprehensive solution on the issues of determining the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border.
These documents were signed on 3 November 2022 in Bishkek during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov to Kyrgyzstan.
