Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At a plenary session of the Senate, the Law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of legislation on quarantine and plant protection" was discussed.

This Law amends 1 code and 5 laws.

In particular, the Code of Administrative Responsibility defines cases of administrative offenses related to the quarantine and plant protection authorities.

In addition, the Law "On Licensing, Permitting and Notification Procedures" provides that a license for the wholesale and retail sale of mineral fertilizers, plant protection chemicals will be issued for a limited period.

As a result of the adoption of this Law, timely and high-quality measures to prevent pests in the production, procurement, storage, transportation, processing and sale of regulated products will be achieved, the principle of inevitability of responsibility for non-compliance with the requirements of the law will be ensured.

The law was approved by the senators.
