Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At a plenary meeting of the upper chamber of the Oliy Majlis, senators discussed the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
It was noted that our country is taking comprehensive organizational and legal measures to ensure the rule of law in the country and the implementation of the constitutional rights of citizens.
This process continues and requires further regulation of the law and by-laws. The law consists of 14 articles. In accordance with it, changes and additions are made to 7 codes and 5 laws.
The senators noted that this document determines the obligation by the owner and (or) operator of compliance with the processing of personal data of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan using information technologies, including on the global information network Internet, requirements for the collection, systematization and storage of personal data on technical means, physically located on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and in databases registered in accordance with the established procedure in the State Register of Personal Data Bases.
According to the Law "On the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan", in the units of the National Guard, along with military personnel, there are also officers with special ranks. However, while many laws contain regulations on National Guard and internal affairs personnel, they do not mention National Guard officers. Therefore, the appropriate additions related to the National Guard employees are made to the laws "On state pension provision of citizens" and "On burial and funeral business", in the Code of Administrative Responsibility, in the Budget and Tax Codes.
In addition, the regulation on violations of accounting legislation is being brought into line with other regulations. That is, amendments are being made to the Code of Administrative Responsibility and the Law “On Accounting”.
Due to the fact that the personal integrity of a person is the highest value, the introduction of these amendments and additions to the legislation serves to prevent illegal receipt, processing, storage, dissemination of personal data by individuals and legal entities under threat of responsibility and, in general, to increase the efficiency of legal work with personal data.
The law was approved by the senators.
