Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law "On Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies".

According to the law, the Cabinet of Ministers ensures the implementation of a unified state policy in the field of accreditation.

The Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation is a specially authorized state body in the field of accreditation.

The national accreditation system is a system that operates at the state level in accordance with regulatory legal acts, as well as regulatory documents in the field of technical regulation, which determine the rules and procedure for accreditation of conformity assessment bodies.

Participants of the national accreditation system are:

- a specially authorized state body;

- accreditation council;

- accreditation body;

- accredited entities;

- assessors and technical accreditation experts;

- technical committees for accreditation.

  Accreditation is valid for the period specified in the certificate of accreditation, if the accreditation has not been terminated.

The law comes into force after 6 months from the date of its official publication.
