The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Budget for 2022" was amended

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the 36th plenary session of the Senate, the Law "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022" was considered.

It was noted that the Law is taking measures to expand the sources of covering the deficit of the Consolidated Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as to optimize some expenses of the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022 and state trust funds, which will remain unclaimed until the end of the year.

Thus, the forecast of income and expenditures of state trust funds and the maximum amount of funds allocated from the republican budget for 2022 to allocators of budgetary funds of the first level are changing in order to optimize additional expenses and some expenses that will remain unclaimed.

In particular, 8.7 trillion soums of additional funds are directed to the social sphere, including 1.4 trillion soums for education, 0.5 trillion so ums for healthcare, and 6.2 trillion soums for social support of the population.

Additionally, funds in the amount of 3.7 trillion soums are also allocated to finance measures to address urgent problems that negatively affect the mood of the population in mahallas.

In connection with the need to provide sources of reimbursement of additional expenses on the basis of the Law, the maximum size of the deficit of the Consolidated Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan is set at 4%.

During the discussion of the Law, members of the Senate drew attention to the targeted use of additionally allocated funds and noted that the changes being made serve to timely finance activities aimed at the socio-economic development of our country, and the funds of the State budget and state trust funds serve the well-being of the people.

The law was approved by the senators.
