“Today, on 9 February 2023, at 06.10, a landslide occurred at 103 km 5-6 pickets of the Chashma-Okrabot railway station span, belonging to the Karshi Regional Railway Junction Unitary Enterprise. As a result, train traffic has been temporarily suspended,” the railway company said.
Experts quickly arrived at this site and are currently actively working to clean the railway from landslides, which involve 3 excavators, 7 dump trucks, 2 bulldozers and other equipment.
