Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 November, under the chairmanship of Sardor Umurzakov, head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, a videoconference was held on topical issues in the public education system.

In particular, the officials of Shurchi district of Surkhandarya region were seriously criticized for “allowing arbitrariness and negligence” in the process of transforming an ordinary school into a specialized one. 

Due to improperly organized work, schoolchildren were forced to go to a school located 5-6 kilometers from their homes. This naturally aroused fair objections from the parents.
