Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the tenth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis taking place today, the Chairman of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva raised a number of topical issues.

“On the basis of numerous appeals at the session of the Kengash of the Senate, the existing problems related to the provision of the population, social facilities and enterprises with gas, electricity and coal in the autumn-winter period were critically considered,” said Tanzila Narbayeva.

- In particular, the heads of all responsible ministries, departments and departments were asked to explain the cases of failures that are the cause of public discontent. An appropriate decision was made, specific tasks were identified to solve existing problems related to the provision, real assessment and full satisfaction of the need for energy resources, modernization of the system, strengthening the responsibility of the relevant departments and, most importantly, ensuring openness and transparency in the system.

This issue was also critically discussed at the video conference held recently under the chairmanship of the head of state. The heads of the relevant ministries and departments and khokims have been entrusted with specific, targeted tasks to address local issues of supply, reduce exports and direct gas for the needs of the population. From now on, this issue will be under the special control of the Senate.

As a result of parliamentary control, proposals were made to the President regarding officials who were irresponsible in this matter. Taking this opportunity, we want to thank our active compatriots who draw the attention of the parliament to such topical issues.
