Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 3 May, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva had a telephone conversation with Chairperson of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Shentop. 

At the beginning of the conversation, the heads of the parliaments of the two countries cordially congratulated each other on the Ramadan Hayit holiday and wished the peoples of our fraternal countries peace, well-being and prosperity.

The parties stressed with great satisfaction the importance of the visit of the President of Turkey to Uzbekistan in March of this year and the results of the second meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. 

It was noted that the parliaments of the two countries are making a worthy contribution to the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit.

During the friendly and sincere conversation, the parties also focused on the issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation.
