Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further improve the system of public administration in the health sector" from 2 October, some changes have been made to the structure of the central office of the Ministry of Health.

In order to effectively organize and coordinate the activities of all state medical institutions located in the city of Tashkent, introduce modern methods of prevention, diagnostics and treatment, as well as create a medical infrastructure in these institutions that does not lag behind international standards, the post of Deputy Minister of Health - Head of the Main Department of Health was introduced the city of Tashkent was introduced.

The post of Deputy Minister of Healthcare - Director General of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Aid was also abolished.

It is planned to create a Center for Designing Reforms and Digitalization of the Healthcare Sphere, aimed at assisting the financial sustainability of medical institutions and the development of medical tourism.

Along with this, it is planned to create such new departments as the department for developing standards of medical care, the department for the introduction of new technologies in medicine, and the department for attracting investments.
