Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The founder of Minerva City, Murali Lal Jalan, accused the khokim of the city of Tashkent, Jahongir Artikhudjaeva, of blackmail.
Murali Lal Jalan said that the khokim of the capital offered him to either give away the land of the Lake City project (Lake Bakht) or transfer US$100 million to a bank account.
The press service of the khokimiyat of Tashkent stated that the accusations of Murali Lal Jalan are not true.
The khokimiyat of Tashkent regarded the accusations of the founder of Minerva City as discrediting a civil servant.
The General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan was instructed to check the validity of Murali Lal Jalan’s statements and bring the perpetrators to justice.
