Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government Commission on Foreign Trade, Investments, Development of Local Industry and Technical Regulation continues to work on the ground in preparation for the Open Dialogue between the Head of State and entrepreneurs. The next meeting with entrepreneurs took place in Navoi on 23 July.
The meeting, held under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, was attended by heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, commercial banks, local authorities of districts and cities of the Navoi region, as well as more than 100 entrepreneurs of the region .
During the meeting, business representatives voiced about 50 problematic issues related to the allocation of land areas, empty buildings and structures, the issuance of loans to replenish working capital, the constant provision of electricity, the provision of benefits and preferences for the export of products, as well as promising ideas and proposals for further stimulation of the socio-economic development of Navoi region.
So, for example, representatives of the Gazgan agro company, created with the participation of foreign capital, spoke about frequent unscheduled power outages, which in turn leads to pump shutdowns and loss of crops. A proposal was also made to use drones to monitor the harvest. Responsible persons for solving these issues have been identified.
A manufacturer of flour and bakery products from Khatirchi district filed a complaint about the initiation of a criminal case, despite the documents submitted by the company, on the proposal of the Tax Administration of Navoi region. Representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office were instructed to consider all the details of the case in the near future and take measures within the framework of the current legislation.
A number of entrepreneurs complained about the difficulties and bureaucracy when reviewing documents and making decisions on granting loans in various banks in the region.
The government commission considered each appeal in detail. Thus, over half of the problems were solved right on the spot. On other issues that require more detailed study, the responsible heads of ministries and departments were instructed to work out and make reasonable proposals for taking measures at the republican level.
As a result, the minutes of the meeting were adopted, which included each appeal, the responsible executor and the deadlines for the decision. Control over the fulfillment of the tasks set will be carried out by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
