Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The first official spotting took place at the Tashkent airport. The event, which was attended by 15 spotters, was Uzbekistan Airports.
The official tour "Autumn Spotting" (photographing aircraft) was held at the Tashkent airport for the first time. The event was attended by domestic air spotters, for whom it was a big dream to get to the capital’s airport and take cherished pictures near the plane. Today this dream, which seemed unrealizable, has come true.
Spotters got the opportunity to shoot the arrival and departure halls of the airport, takeoffs and landings of aircraft of various airlines, apron, modern service equipment, baggage system. In addition, the guests were given a tour of the new departure hall, which is due to open to passengers in the near future.
“This event, probably, should have happened a long time ago. But due to many circumstances, the airport was a closed facility for journalists, bloggers and, of course, spotters. But everything is changing. And when I was offered to hold the first official spotting in Uzbekistan, I said why not. With the observance of all security measures, this is possible. This is a normal practice all over the world. These people are in love with aviation no less than pilots, and they should be one of the welcome guests at our airports,” said Rano Juraeva, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports.
The first spotting in Uzbekistan gathered 15 aerial photographers. In the future, Uzbekistan Airports plans to continue holding such events, as well as to invite foreign air-spotters to participate. Thus, the company demonstrates its openness and willingness to cooperate.
