Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - At the Daut-ata border customs post of the Department of the State Customs Committee for the Republic of Karakalpakstan, during customs control of a Mercedes-Benz truck leaving the republic, it turned out that the driver tried to, hiding from customs control to take out cultural values, including items of numismatics.

The examination established that the discovered numismatic collection, which consisted of 131 units of coins, was minted in about 30 countries of the world at different times of the last century, 33 of which were of historical value. In addition to numismatic items, the citizen tried to illegally take out handmade woolen carpets and several figurines that were of cultural value.

Currently, according to the revealed fact, the customs authorities are carrying out customs inspections and investigative actions.
