Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of relevant ministries and departments of Central Asia, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, in cooperation with the World Bank, discussed ongoing work to further improve the public procurement system.
In particular, there was an exchange of experience on the achievements of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as a result of the introduction of an electronic store platform (O-Market.kz) in the public procurement process, including the reduction of corruption, the introduction of mechanisms for forming a starting price, the introduction of a rating system for business entities.
During the presentation, detailed information was obtained about the convenience, advantages and capabilities of the created platform.
During the round table, an exchange of experience took place on measures taken to prevent cartel collusion in procurement made through an electronic store, established mechanisms for combating corruption, the basics and procedure for including participants in public procurement in the register of unscrupulous performers, the procedure for setting prices in an electronic store and created opportunities for ensuring the participation of non-residents.
It was noted that work is currently underway on the systematic development of public procurement for the following projects:
Implementation of an analytical information system (Business intelligence) in the public procurement system in order to expand analytical capabilities and strengthen public control;
it was noted that, together with international financial organizations, the necessary measures are being taken to introduce a system for maintaining the rating of public procurement entities.
