Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 January 2020, the eleventh plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan began its work in the city of Tashkent. Senators, senior officials of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, as well as representatives of the media are taking part in its work.

The plenary session, held in the form of videoconferencing, is chaired by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva.

The senators approved the agenda for the eleventh plenary session of the upper house of parliament.

Members of the Senate will discuss the priority tasks defined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis, as well as the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On Approval of the Urban Planning Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On Cultural Activities and Organizations culture” and other issues.
