Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 August 2021, a meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva.

The meeting adopted a resolution to convene the eighteenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 26 August 2021.

At the plenary session, which will be held in the form of videoconference, it is planned to discuss a number of issues. Among them are the laws "On insurance activities", "On agricultural cooperatives", "On the establishment of the Day of employees of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan", "On amendments and additions to the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan", "On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic Uzbekistan "On General Military Duty and Military Service", "On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan" On the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan ".

In addition, it is planned to consider the issue of changing the boundaries of Zangiata, Yukorichirchik, Urtachirchik and Kibray districts of Tashkent region and Sergeli, Bektemir, Mirzo-Ulugbek and Yashnabad districts of the city of Tashkent, as well as Tashkent region and the city of Tashkent.

It is also planned to hear information from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on activities in the first half of 2021.

At the same time, it is planned to consider the issue of parliamentary control over the implementation of the special resolution of the United Nations General Assembly of 18 May 2018 "On declaring the Aral Sea region a zone of environmental innovations and technologies", sending a parliamentary request to the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement under the General Prosecutor’s Office Of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the state of execution of judicial acts and documents of other bodies.

The results of the parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the problems arising in the process of widespread involvement of the population, especially youth in physical education and sports, will be discussed.

At the same time, it is envisaged to hear the report of the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on budget and economic reforms on activities in 2020 and the first half of 2021 and to consider the approval of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to radically improve the system of quarantine and plant protection in republic", on amendments to the composition of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting of the Kengash, the issue of introducing by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan 5,000 (five thousand soums) and 10,000 (ten thousand soums) banknotes of new designs was also considered.
