Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation from the Atyrau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan is currently on a visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

The purpose of the delegation’s visit is to study the industrial potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan, reach agreements on the supply of agricultural products, as well as study the experience of developing urban infrastructure.

On 18 May, a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Darkhan Satibaldi visited Kashkadarya region to get acquainted with the activities of the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex, which produces high-density polyethylene and a number of other products.

The members of the delegation were accompanied by the first deputy khokim of Kashkadarya region U. Uzakov, the khokim of the district B. Suyunov and the deputy director of the plant U. Isaev.

This enterprise, which is of great importance for the economy and development of the country, processes natural gas and produces highly profitable products.

At the Shurtan gas chemical complex, visitors got acquainted with the technological processes for the production of polyethylene, liquefied gas, sulfur, gas condensate, commercial gas, additional aluminum composite panels, polyethylene pipes.

Detailed information was also provided on the activities of the first oil and gas cluster created on the basis of the complex.

It should be noted that today, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Mekhriddin Abdullayev, opportunities for cooperation in the field of localization of equipment and facilities necessary for the needs of technological processes of oil and gas production and processing are expanding.

Guests from Kazakhstan showed great interest in the work carried out as part of the localization, organized on the basis of the complex.
