Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 September 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks with the administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects of interaction between Uzbekistan and USAID were discussed.

An exchange of views took place on the situation in Afghanistan and the need to provide assistance to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the country.

An agreement was reached to continue cooperation in the implementation of programs in Uzbekistan in the spheres of healthcare, education, agriculture, improvement of the judicial and legal system, support of Uzbekistan’s efforts to combat COVID-19.
