Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Decree "On priority organizational measures for the effective establishment of the activities of the republican executive bodies" was adopted.

The decree approved the following:

- the total maximum number of managerial personnel (56,573 people);

- a unified list of republican executive bodies (69 in total, of which 21 are ministries, 12 committees, 25 agencies, and 11 inspectorates).

In the system of ministries and departments, a total of 17,447 staff positions have been reduced, it is strictly forbidden to introduce additional managerial staff positions at the expense of extra-budgetary funds of ministries and departments.

Also, the Uniform requirements for the formation of structural units and the introduction of positions in the republican executive bodies - ministries, committees, agencies and inspections were approved.

At the same time, the ratio of executives and executors in the central office should be at least 1/3.

In order to direct the activities of ministers towards solving strategic problems, a ministerial secretariat can be created to provide legal, organizational and technical, information and analytical, control and protocol support for their activities.

It is obligatory to create the following structural divisions (positions) in the central offices:

-strategic planning and methodology;

-public relations (information services);

-development and management of human resources;

-information analysis and performance discipline;

- appeals;

-introduction of information and communication technologies and digitalization;

- legal support;

- fight against corruption;

-finance and economics;

-international cooperation and rating;

- the first section.

According to the Decree, a draft act of the President will be developed, providing for the organization of the activities of ministries and departments on the basis of a completely new system.
