The course of preparation for the visit of the Turkmen delegation was considered

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 July this year, under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, a meeting was held via videoconference on the preparation of a number of events planned to be held as part of the visit of the Turkmen delegation to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by the heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, local authorities, as well as the representative office of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Turkmenistan.

The course of preparations for the Uzbek-Turkmen interregional forum in Bukhara, within the framework of which it is planned to hold the 2nd meeting of the Uzbek-Turkmen Council of Entrepreneurs, an exhibition of industrial products of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, an exhibition of folk art products of the two countries, was considered.

The importance of developing investment projects and trade agreements for signing with the Turkmen side was emphasized. An instruction was given to work out new bilateral trade and economic agreements, draft investment agreements, agreements on the development of interregional cooperation, planned to be signed with Turkmen partners within the framework of the Uzbek-Turkmen interregional forum, paying special attention to the preparation of joint investment projects and trade agreements in agriculture, automotive industry, textile, chemical and petrochemical industries, transport and logistics, energy, tourism and other industries.

The heads of industry associations and local authorities of all regions of Uzbekistan were instructed to prepare presentations on the potential of each region with specific investment proposals, as well as to take measures to effectively organize an exhibition of industrial products manufactured in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, paying special attention to its effectiveness.

Relevant leaders were instructed to study the implementation of projects and contracts implemented within the framework of agreements and agreements reached with the Turkmen side during previous visits, in particular, the implementation of 8 export contracts worth US$308 million, 1 import contract worth US$111 million and a major investment US$10 million project. It was instructed to take measures to accelerate the implementation of all agreements in accordance with the established deadlines.

At the end of the meeting, responsible managers were given additional instructions on organizing transport and hotel services for the Turkmen delegation, as well as organizing a cultural program with the participation of artists from both countries.
