Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has been recognized as a co-author in the development of a vaccine the ZF-2001 against coronavirus by Longcom Biopharmaceutical (China). This was announced at a regular meeting of the Special Republican Commission to Combat Coronavirus.
Now the vaccine will be produced with Uzbek pharmacists under the name ZF-UZ-VAC 2001. The vaccine will be produced at the facilities of Jurabek Laboratories JV LLC.
The Commission also considered the issue of authorizing the use of the ZF-UZ-VAC 2001 vaccine in emergency situations, taking into account the successful implementation of the third phase of clinical trials of the vaccine in the country and the fact that Uzbekistan is its co-author.
Following the meeting, the special commission decided to submit to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis for discussion the issue of purchasing a 1 million dose of ZF-UZ-VAC 2001 vaccine and sending it to voluntary mass vaccination of the population.
