Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Resolution of the President on the organization of the activities of the Children’s and Youth Military Patriotic Movement "Vatan Tayanchi" was adopted.

According to the Resolution:

under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Children’s and Youth Military Patriotic Movement "Vatan Tayanchi" was organized;

in the defense departments of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, the positions of deputy head of the department for educational and ideological work were introduced, in the district (city) departments for defense - deputy head of the department for educational and ideological work.

The children’s and youth military-patriotic movement "Vatan Tayanchi" is a state institution, whose activities are coordinated by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan for educational and ideological work.

According to the Resolution, in state general education schools, under the guidance of teachers of primary pre-conscription training, “Vatan tayanchi” detachments are created, consisting of 20 students in grades 10–11. Students become volunteer members.

From the 2022/2023 academic year, one of the members of each "Vatan Tayanchi" detachment, who actively participates in the activities of the "Vatan Tayanchi" movement, who graduated from a state comprehensive school with excellent grades, is given a preferential recommendation for admission to a higher military educational institution in accordance with the selection procedure established by the Department of Defense.

The holders of the recommendation will have the privilege of additional points in the amount of 5 percent of the points scored on the basis of test results when entering the relevant areas of higher education of the republic.

Recommendations are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
