Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 March 2021, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva visited Almazar district to get acquainted with the progress of work on its socio-economic development, improving the welfare of the population, and supporting entrepreneurship.

During the visit, the head of the upper house of parliament met directly with the residents of the district, listened to the problems of citizens.

In particular, the Chairperson visited the production enterprise “Vizir Nargiza”, located on the territory of the 3rd sector of Almazar district, where 150 women work. The Chairperson of the Senate was interested in their working conditions, talked with women included in the "iron" and "women’s" notebooks.

The next stop was the National Crafts Center. The Chairperson of the Senate, having familiarized herself with his activities, talked with girls and women studying the secrets of national embroidery, was interested in their concerns and problems.

Tanzila Narbaeva also got acquainted with the activities of a new sewing workshop, which opened in the basement of a high-storey building located in the 3rd sector of the district. It is noteworthy that it operates its own training center, the graduates of which are employed here.

Also, the Chairperson of the Senate got acquainted with the activities of the headquarters of the 1st sector and with the progress of creative work carried out in the “Shodiyona” makhalla.

Then the head of the upper house of parliament met with the deputies of the regional Kengash of people’s deputies. During the meeting, attention was focused on increasing the role of local Kengashes in the implementation of certain tasks. The need to increase the activity of the deputies was also noted, the necessary proposals and recommendations were given.
