Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 September 2022, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva received a delegation led by Chairperson of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova.

The delegation of Azerbaijan arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the 14th summit of women heads of parliaments of the member states of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held on 8-9 September in Tashkent.

At the meeting, it was especially noted that the inter-parliamentary dialogue serves to strengthen comprehensive cooperation between the countries.

The parties also discussed cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, the interaction of women entrepreneurs, established as a result of official visits of the heads of parliaments.
