The Chairman of the Senate meets with members of the Youth Parliament

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 July, a round table was organized in the building of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on the perspective plans of the Youth Parliament.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Senate, senators, members of the Youth Parliament, heads of the secretariats of local Kengashes of People's Deputies and media workers.

During the round table, the chairman of the Youth Parliament spoke in detail about the long-term work plans and new projects of the parliament, the revitalization of the activities of regional members of parliament, the study and in-depth analysis of youth problems, as well as regional commissions created to prepare important projects and proposals for youth.

In addition, the presentation of the projects planned for the second half of this year by the chairmen of the commissions of the Youth Parliament took place.

Thus, information was heard from the chairmen of the commissions on such issues as studying the cases of newly created family orphanages in the republic and developing a mechanism for introducing the system of foster families, analyzing the causes of road accidents committed by young people, and studying the effectiveness of benefits provided to young entrepreneurs.

The Chairman of the Senate listed the priority tasks of the Youth Parliament. In particular, the need to prepare analytical information and materials on making relevant proposals to state bodies and subjects of legislative initiative on issues and problems related to youth, as well as resolving youth appeals to state bodies, was emphasized.

Particular attention was also paid to the fact that members of the youth parliament express a reasoned attitude to problematic issues that have caused widespread discussion in social networks and the media, and to show an active civic position.
