Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A working group headed by the Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Mehriddin Abdullayev got acquainted with the state of implementation of projects for drilling wells, technological facilities and gas pipelines in the Ustyurt gas production department within the framework of the Program for increasing hydrocarbon production.

In particular, ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC, which is currently drilling wells using 21 modern technologically equipped equipment, has been involved in the performance of work under the Program as the General Contractor.

In 2021, 102 wells were commissioned, with 437 new wells since the beginning of the Program. On the territory of Ustyurt, 5 drilling rigs were involved in the drilling of production wells.

Within the framework of the Program, specialists of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, based on a comprehensive analysis of the assessment data of a production well (OE) No. 63 in the Sharkiy Berdakh field, proposed drilling to a depth of 4300 meters in order to discover new promising formations in the Lower Jurassic deposits. The well is currently about 3900 meters deep and drilling continues.

At the same time, the "Working Group" got acquainted with the process of drilling well No. 21 at the "Kuyi Surgil" field, where drilling operations are underway. The design depth of the well is 4300 meters, the specialists decided to drill this well to a depth of 4500 meters in order to further in-depth study of the Lower Jurassic deposits of the field, and the well was drilled to this depth. Currently, work is underway to install a filter in the well and prepare it for development.

It should be noted that thanks to the efforts of Uzbekneftegaz JSC specialists, changes were made to the construction structures of individual wells in the Ustyurt territory and additional drilling work was carried out in relation to the design depth. As a result, the wells produced 4-5 times more natural gas than expected.

In particular, from wells No. 14, No. 20 of the Kuyi Surgil field and No. 96 "Sharkiy Berdakh", a gas inflow was obtained with a daily flow rate of up to 1.0 million cubic meters.

Within the framework of the program, the locations of wells for drilling highly productive wells drilled in the Lower Jurassic deposits were identified, with an in-depth study of the state of the wells in production around the operating geological and hydrodynamic models of the field.

Within the framework of the program, technological facilities and gas pipelines of various sizes with a length of 83.5 km were put into operation in order to increase the volume of hydrocarbon production, increase the throughput of systems from fields to integrated gas treatment units, and from installations to main gas pipelines.

In particular, in Ustyurt region during 2021, in order to further increase gas production from the Kuyi Surgil and Arslan fields and increase the throughput capacity of gas pipelines, pipelines with a length of 8.2 km were put into operation before the complex gas treatment unit Arslan and 6.2 km from the Shimoliy Berdakh field to the Sharkiy Berdak complex gas treatment unit.

In addition, in order to increase the throughput capacity of the main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC from the Arslan and Sharkiy Berdakh gas treatment plants, 17 km of gas pipelines were installed, a total of 31.4 km of pipelines were put into operation.

Within the framework of the Program for the construction and commissioning of technological units, work is being carried out at an accelerated pace on the installation of the 2nd stage of the compressor station at the Denizkul field in the Mubarek region, as well as at the compressor station of the Zhanubiy Tandircha field in the Shurtan oil and gas production department.

Uzbekneftegaz JSC and ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC will continue fruitful cooperation in the field of well drilling, construction and commissioning of technological facilities within the framework of the Program for increasing hydrocarbon production for 2022-2023.
