Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology is carrying out fruitful work on the development and implementation of innovative technologies, advanced methods of diagnosis, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation. The institution consists of 10 clinical departments. There is a clinic with 178 beds, a consultative polyclinic, a scientific council and 14 regional departments.

At the same time, on its base there is a large laboratory department, consisting of 5 divisions.

This structure includes laboratories for hemostasis, clinical immunology, as well as clinical, biochemical, bacteriological and cytological laboratories.

The laboratory department is equipped with modern equipment, analyzes are carried out with

using serological,

microbiological,

enzyme immunoassays,

cytological,

histological,

genetic,

diagnostic methods.

Last year, after the opening of the cytological laboratory, the center increased its ability to prevent the spread of cancer among women and their early diagnosis, says the director of the center, MD Natalya Nadirkhanova. - Through the tests carried out here, up to 12 types of oncological diseases can be established.

The hematological and biochemical machines installed in the laboratory of the center make it possible to determine 28 blood parameters. In particular, there is an opportunity to diagnose diabetes at an early stage. Meanwhile, in the early stages of pregnancy, glucose tolerance tests are carried out for women.
