Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16-18 February, St. Petersburg hosted a major forum of reproductive medicine specialists - the IX conference marathon "Perinatal Medicine 2023". Uzbekistan was represented by the Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The CIS countries are entering the era of insurance medicine today, and Uzbekistan is especially interested in the experience already available. In particular, as noted at the forum, in 2021 the Russian Mandatory Medical Insurance Fund fined medical organizations for 202 billion rubles. due to shortcomings in the provision of medical care, in particular, non-compliance with clinical recommendations.
That is, there are documents on how to provide assistance to patients, including in obstetrics and gynecology, without violating the requirements of medical insurance, but they are not fully observed. In this regard, experts discussed those features of perinatal medicine that must be taken into account to maintain the health of mother and child from the standpoint of modern international standards and recommendations.
A certain interest in the conference marathon was also caused by the report of T.F. Abduraimov, Deputy Director for Training and Improvement of Doctors of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology (RSNPMCAG). The report addressed the issues of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of maternal sepsis.
This problem continues to be a topical issue, as up to 260,000 women and 1 million newborns die each year due to maternal sepsis worldwide. In this regard, the World Health Organization is calling on countries to integrate sepsis prevention, diagnosis and treatment into national health systems.
In his report, the representative of the RSSPMCAG noted the common problems that are characteristic of medicine in different countries, including Uzbekistan. Among them is the importance of screening, early diagnosis, timely intensive care for the prevention of sepsis in obstetric practice. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of adherence to the National Clinical Protocols, which reflect recommendations for the management of sepsis and septic shock.
As part of the stay in the cultural capital of Russia, a Memorandum of Cooperation was also signed between the RSNPMCAG and the Research Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductology named after D.O. Otta of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. This partnership will raise to a qualitatively new level the cooperation of Uzbek and Russian specialists in the obstetric service: obstetrician-gynecologists, neonatologists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators.
It should be noted that in total, 1157 only full-time participants from seven countries, as well as 1158 online participants took part in the IX Conference Marathon of the Russian Federation "Perinatal Medicine: from preconception preparation to healthy motherhood and childhood", 210 speakers spoke here and 510 reports were presented.
