Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Senators discussed another issue on the agenda - the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On amendments and additions to the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on administrative responsibility".

As the chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security K. Burkhanov noted, the Law was developed by the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to eliminate gaps in the legislation that are the causes of problem situations.

The law amends articles 22721 and 22723 of the Code of Administrative Liability, according to which the border troops are empowered to detain persons who have committed offenses under these articles, as well as vehicles when committing an offense using these vehicles.

In addition, the border troops are empowered to consider offenses provided for in articles 224 and 2241 of the Code of Administrative Liability (violation of the rules for entry and residence in the border zone, as well as in areas where temporary restrictions on the entry and stay of citizens are established, as well as violation of the regime in points pass through the state border).

The senators noted that the adoption of the Law will serve to prevent the excessive waste of citizens' time.

The law was approved by the senators.
