Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A book-album of local historian-researcher Pavel Novik "Petroglyphs of the Tashkent oasis" has been published.
This album is dedicated only to a part of the huge petrographic heritage of Uzbekistan - the petroglyphs of the Tashkent region.
Most of the territory of this region in ancient times and the early Middle Ages, up to the invasion of the Arab tribes at the beginning of the 8th century AD, was part of the historical and cultural region of Chach, the name of which is Chach or Chachan, first noted on bronze coins by the ruler of Zabag and Vonun with a Sogdian legend, dating back to the 1st 3rd century AD. and the so-called Kaaba of Zoroaster in Iran.
