The average age of the population in Uzbekistan reached 29.3 years by 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 January 2025, the average age of the population in the Republic of Uzbekistan stood at 29.3 years, which is slightly below the global average of 30.9 years, according to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

Analysis of the trends in average age shows steady growth both in Uzbekistan and worldwide.

In 1991, the average age in Uzbekistan was 22.9 years, while the global figure was 23.3 years.

By 1995, it had increased to 23.4 years in Uzbekistan and 24.0 years globally. In 2000, the average age reached 24.3 years domestically and 25.1 years worldwide, rising to 25.7 and 26.2 years respectively by 2005.

In 2010, the average age was 26.9 years in Uzbekistan and 27.2 years globally, and in 2015, it was 28.1 and 28.3 years.

By 2020, the figures had reached 29.0 years in Uzbekistan and 29.6 years worldwide, and by 2025, they were 29.3 years and 30.9 years respectively.
