The amount of remuneration paid to honorary donors will be increased

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution "On measures to further improve the activities of blood service institutions and develop a gratuitous donor movement among the population of the republic"was adopted.

The resolution defines the main directions for the development of the blood service.

First of all, this is the formation of a culture of gratuitous donation among the population, the development of a donor movement with the participation of the general public, the provision of quality services and the creation of favorable conditions for blood donors.

Until 1 January 2024, blood service institutions will introduce the practice of a two-stage test for the presence of bloodborne infections in the blood of donors (ELISA/PCR).

It is established that from 1 January 2023:

the amount of remuneration paid to persons awarded with the badge "Honorary Donor of the Republic of Uzbekistan" is increased from five times to fifteen times the size of the basic estimated value (from 1.5 million to 4.5 million soums);

Persons awarded this badge are granted the following rights:

access to the annual main labor leave at a convenient time for them;

free use of all types of urban passenger transport;

extraordinary receipt of a voucher for treatment in state sanatoriums and resorts;

regular donors (who donate blood at least three times a year) and their close relatives in the process of inpatient treatment, if necessary, are provided with blood and its components free of charge;

the cost of expenses for providing donors with free food is set throughout the republic in the same amount - 3 percent of the minimum wage.
