The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Spain presented his credentials to the Co-Prince of Andorra
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan with a residence in Madrid, Farrukh Tursunov, presented his credentials to the Co-Prince of Andorra, the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
During the ceremony, the diplomat conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the head of the French Republic. In response, Emmanuel Macron expressed his respect and gratitude to the Uzbek leader, emphasizing the special significance of bilateral relations.
The French president noted that strengthening cooperation with Uzbekistan is a priority and expressed confidence that the professionalism of the ambassador will make a significant contribution to the development of the partnership between the two countries. He also highlighted his readiness to further expand cooperation in all areas.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Andorra were established on 1 December 2009.
Farrukh Tursunov has held the position of Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Spain since 7 December 2023. On 9 April 2024, he presented his credentials to King Felipe VI of Spain. In addition, he serves as Uzbekistan’s permanent representative to the UN World Tourism Organization (formerly the United Nations World Tourism Organization).
