Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Botirjon Asadov. The meeting took place at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the parties discussed the development of cooperation between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan, aimed at strengthening Russian-Uzbek relations. 

Issues of further development of trade and economic ties in the context of the coronavirus pandemic were considered, in particular, an increase in the volume and range of mutual supplies of goods and services. They also discussed issues of interaction in the field of education, culture and tourism.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism Sergey Ivanov and others.
