Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev held a briefing for representatives of the Club of Editors-in-Chief (CGR) of leading Kazakhstani media and bloggers on the 29th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence, Dunyo news agency reported.
The club of chief editors was formed in 2005 and unites 270 heads of republican and regional mass media. Cooperates with diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in Kazakhstan.
In his speech, the ambassador informed the participants of the event in detail with the main theses of the festive message of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the people of the republic, as well as the development of bilateral Uzbek-Kazakh relations.
The briefing participants noted with great interest the achievements of Uzbekistan over the years of independence and the positive dynamics in the development of relations between states in recent years. It was emphasized that the active and constructive policy of the head of Uzbekistan opened a new stage in relations between our countries and in general between all the states of Central Asia, creating a climate of mutual trust and cooperation in the region.
Taking into account the great potential for the development of Uzbek-Kazakh relations, the President of the RAG, Advisor to the Minister of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan Bibigul Jeksenbay expressed the opinion that it would be expedient, together with the Embassy of Uzbekistan, to develop a mechanism for showing Uzbek programs and films on Kazakhstani television.
The vice-president of the RAG, the first deputy editor-in-chief of the Sakhara newspaper Kenjebolat Joldybai expressed the opinion that by establishing cooperation, a lot can be done by combining the efforts of the Embassy and the RAG.
He stressed that the historical and cultural interaction of the peoples of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan goes back centuries and is supported by a common past. The peoples are united by a common language, religion, culture and traditions, and deepening cooperation today meets the mutual interests of the two fraternal peoples.
Blogger Ulan Abishev, taking into account the significant interest in Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, which, unfortunately, is not fully satisfied, expressed interest in promoting the brand "Uzbekistan" in Kazakhstan.
