Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 September, the President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on additional measures to accelerate strategic reforms, Dunyo news agency reported.

According to the document, in order to effectively organize the implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, the formation and implementation of common approaches to the implementation of reforms by ensuring their consistency, the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President is being created on the basis of the Agency for Strategic Development.

The main tasks of the Agency are the development of proposals for the reform of certain areas and industries with the involvement of domestic and foreign experts, the organization and control over their implementation; assessing the effectiveness of reforms with a critical analysis of their implementation in areas and sectors, identifying systemic problems that create conditions for bureaucracy, red tape and corruption and taking measures to eliminate them; monitoring the implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan and state programs, as well as coordinating, on the basis of this, their full and high-quality implementation.

The Agency will also systematically organize work to attract international financial institutions, foreign organizations and foreign specialists, as well as funds of gratuitous assistance, create databases of information and reporting on them; transformation of enterprises with the participation of the state, in particular, the preparation of reports based on international standards, the inclusion of independent members in the management bodies and the monitoring of the effectiveness of work carried out on the efficient use of non-industry assets.

Along with this, under the chairmanship of the head of state, the Council of the Agency for Strategic Reforms is being created, which will approve the priority areas and main parameters of the effectiveness of the structure, other decisions related to its activities, as well as proposals, road maps and programs developed by the Agency for the implementation of certain tasks for them.
