Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the plenary session, the activities of the Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports in 2020-2021 were discussed.
With the participation of representatives of responsible ministries and departments, public organizations and an expert group, the Committee preliminary considered 12 laws adopted by the Legislative Chamber and submitted to the Senate for approval, and submitted for discussion at the plenary session of the Senate.
As part of the control and analytical activities, 11 hearings of the Deputy Prime Minister and members of the Government were organized.
Four parliamentary inquiries were sent regarding the issues raised in the appeals of individuals and legal entities, expressed during meetings with the population on the ground and on-site receptions. Their results were discussed at the plenary sessions of the Senate and the Committee.
The implementation of 4 laws and state programs in the regions was studied, as a result of which 7 resolutions of the Committee and 3 joint resolutions with local Kengashes of people’s deputies were adopted.
On the basis of the new system, a rating assessment of the implementation of the state youth policy in the regions has been established, an incentive procedure and a methodology for rating the leaders of the regions and their deputies responsible for youth issues have been developed, and a platform for data analysis has been launched (www.yoshlarportali.uz). Thanks to the information presented on the platform, it became possible to evaluate the activities of responsible leaders in the regions.
As part of the study of law enforcement practice and the adoption of by-laws, 8 laws were analyzed. Appropriate amendments and additions to the laws “On Museums” and “On the Protection and Use of Cultural Heritage Objects” have been ensured.
At the same time, during the discussion, the unused opportunities of the Committee in the field of youth, culture and sports were noted.
As a result of the discussion, a resolution of the Senate was adopted.
