Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 March 2021, the 8th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Poland took place in Warsaw.

The Uzbek delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sherzod Asadov, and the Polish one - by Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Pshidach.

During the political consultations, they discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, as well as interaction within the framework of multilateral structures.

An exchange of views took place on the issues of building up cooperation in the trade, economic, financial and investment spheres. In this context, proposals were considered for attracting Polish investments and technologies to the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan, increasing the export of national products to Poland.

Particular attention was paid to improving the legal framework of bilateral relations.

The parties expressed their interest in further expanding contacts in the fields of education, science, healthcare and culture.

The meeting also exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual interest.
