The 108th Executive Committee Meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia Held in Kuwait

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The 108th Executive Committee meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) took place in the State of Kuwait. Uzbekistan was represented by Otabek Umarov, OCA Vice President and First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

The first official session, chaired by the newly appointed OCA President Sheikh Joaan Al Thani, focused on improving the operations of the organization’s headquarters and corporate governance system, preparing for upcoming multi-sport events, expanding interregional cooperation, and implementing joint projects.

During the visit, participants held meetings with the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Sabah, and the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Sabah.

Discussions centered on prospects for further strengthening partnerships and expanding cooperation in the development of the Olympic movement and sports across the Asian continent.
