Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As of 1 April 2020, exports of textile enterprises made up US$455.9 million.

This year, the coronavirus pandemic had a serious negative impact on world trade, and the global textile market did not stand aside.

The enterprises of the industry are faced with export problems, primarily because of the sharp increase in the cost and delivery time, the temporary closure of many shopping centers in countries such as Russia, China and Turkey, which are the main consumers of Uzbek textiles.

Despite the existing problems, the export performance of textile and clothing enterprises in the country remained at a high level. First of all, timely measures taken under the leadership of the President to support entrepreneurs and exporters served as a basis for this.

As a result of the measures taken, the export growth rate of enterprises in the industry increased by 26% compared to the same period of last year.
