Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Committee for Competition and Consumer Protection has imposed a fine on Texnomart, a retail chain, for violating advertising laws, according to the agency’s press service.

The violation stemmed from the use of the slogan "The Best Offer" in advertisements on the retailer’s Telegram channel for the sale of Vivo Y03 and Honor X7b smartphones on installment plans. The listed prices—213,167 soums and 274,167 soums per month, respectively—were significantly higher than those of other sellers.

The Committee noted that the claim of "the best offer" was not backed by factual evidence.

As a result, a case was initiated against the company for violations of the "Advertising" and "Consumer Protection" laws.

The Committee’s Commission decided to fine Texnomart, instructing the retailer to correct the violations and avoid similar incidents in the future.
