Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ten people were injured as a result of the explosion of gas cylinders in Akdarya district of Samarkand region.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, the incident occurred on Sunday at about 14:20 at one of the catering points in the Navruz mahalla. After the explosion, the fire spread throughout the building.

The department notes that 10 people were injured. They were hospitalized.

Work has begun to study the causes of the explosion.
