Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 10 February, during his visit to Samarkand at a meeting at Samarkand airport, announced the dismissal of a number of leaders of the Samarkand region, the press service of the head of state reported. 

For serious mistakes and shortcomings in work, the following persons were released from their posts: 

- khokim of Samarkand district N. Mavlonov; 

- khokim of Nurabad district F.Zairov;

- Head of the regional department of the Central Bank O. Tukhtaev,

- Prosecutor of Akdarya district D. Kubaev;

- chiefs of the internal affairs department of Samarkand, Samarkand and Akdarya districts J. Kadyrov, F. Gafarov and D. Ibragimov;

- heads of the state tax inspections of the Urgut and Payaryk regions A. Almazov and M. Ergashev;

- Head of the regional enterprise of electrical networks G. Mamatkulov.

It is noted that the issue of initiating criminal cases against some of them, including corruption cases, will be considered.
